How to be a Rockstar Project Manager!

What is a project manager, really? Sometimes a coach, referee, party planner, counselor, cheerleader, problem solver, salesperson, and much more. The skills required to be a rockstar project manager are vast and varied and mastering them takes time.

The role of a project manager requires a combination of technical skills, such as project planning, scheduling, and risk management as well as soft skills, such as leadership and communication. They act as a central point of contact for the project team, company management and the client, playing a crucial role in ensuring project and team success. The primary charter of any project manager is to ensure that the project is completed on time, within scope, and within budget.

The specific duties of a project manager can vary depending on the industry and the type of project, but generally, they involve the following key responsibilities:

    • Scope Definition: Clearly defining the project's objectives, deliverables, and constraints.
