Newsletter - Happy Fall!

Where did the summer go?

The last 6 months have gone by so quickly and now we suddenly find ourselves fully settled into fall. The chill in the air, the turning leaves, and early sunsets signal it’s time to slow down a bit and prepare for the holidays. There’s still plenty to accomplish before year-end, but the shorter days naturally shift more of our work and play indoors. It’s also the perfect excuse to make your favorite comfort foods and curl up with a good book in the evenings. I’m grateful for the work we’ve had and growth we’ve experience here at Yellowstone Professional Education.

Here in Colorado, we’ve had a light dusting of snow already and I’ve prepared my garden for the winter.  I’m working on some exciting new projects that have me motivated for the new year. I’ll share one here in this newsletter with more to come!

 OUR TEAM IS GROWING!

We’ve had a lot of growth in the last year, launching the Management Under Construction podcast, publishing my Self-Paced Sustainability book and adding a new team member to the YSPE family.  I thought it would be a good time to profile our entire team.

Marilyn Bockstahler, Marketing Manager

Marilyn joined the team six years ago with extensive high-level marketing and finance experience. Today, she leads our social media and web content strategy while also supporting key accounting functions. Outside of work, Marilyn is an avid gardener and home cook who loves spending time outdoors—whether she’s hiking, camping, or road-tripping across California and beyond.

Connie Evans, Virtual Assistant

We were excited to welcome Connie Evans to our team this year as a Virtual Assistant. Connie brings years of experience supporting businesses with organization, digital marketing, and project coordination, helping clients streamline their operations and stay on track. Outside of work, she enjoys exploring the outdoors through RV travel and expresses her creativity as an abstract artist. Connie’s blend of technical skill and artistic perspective makes her a dynamic addition to our growing team.

Andrew Hurov, Project Manager

Andrew joined the team last year as a Project Manager consultant working with a variety of clients. With over 20 years of experience in the construction industry, and a strong background in mechanical and plumbing systems, Andrew is a valuable member of our team

Victoria Silva, Project Manager

Victoria recently joined Yellowstone Professional Education and Davis Consulting Management Group as a Project Manager. She brings background in medical device process and manufacturing engineering, with deep experience in cGMP environments and developing SOPs – which she now supports the team with as well. She is passionate about process improvement, maximizing efficiency, and operational excellence. Based in San Diego, Victoria enjoys gardening, camping with her family, and experimenting the kitchen.

Brad Wyant, Co-host – Management Under Construction Podcast

With over seven years of experience in commercial construction, Brad Wyant has worked on project cost controls, engineering and design for constructability, and contract dispute resolution. His project portfolio includes industrial plants, historic buildings, and facilities certified under rigorous sustainability standards. Brad has been instrumental to the success of the podcast and we’re sorry to see him leave us at the end of this year.

We recently celebrated a BIG milestone — the Management Under Construction podcast officially reached 1,000 downloads!  In January, this podcast started as a space to talk openly about leadership, growth, and the real challenges in construction management — and it’s grown thanks to you, our amazing listeners.

We’ve covered topics from the technical - like pipe welding and firestopping - to those that go well beyond the construction industry. We spoke about toxic masculinity, mental health, networking, when to quit your job and many more topics.
